During my hiatus, I experienced only a few random bursts of creativity. The following is a icanhascheezburger-and-presidential-politics inspired example of what I've been doing with myself for the past few months:

Sorry I disappeared for so long.

I became strangely commitment-phobic with regard to my comic blog and just stopped it altogether. It was irresponsible. I admit it.

To make sure that it doesn't happen again, I am redefining my relationship with the comic blog. From now on, I will only make and post comics when I feel like it. No more self-imposed due dates.

The Areas of My Expertise by John Hodgman

Its a book of made-up facts and it's very silly. I actually read part of it while I was on an airplane ride and I think that the people sitting next to me thought I was an idiot because I kept laughing out loud. I know they were thinking, "Nothing's that funny, lady, so get over it." But it is that funny. It really is.
